"We would like to invite you to be part of Melbourne Made, a fashion event where the viewer will gain insight through the designer’s lens."
This event is dedicated to our local fashion designers, models, photographers and makers, celebrating their commitment to creating with integrity and care. In an industry dominated by fast fashion, the price driven and the disposable, Melbourne Made offers a refreshing perspective by showcasing the creative process behind each garment,
Highlighting the meticulous decision making, the evolution and the craftsmanship, we would like to share all that goes into producing fashion collections locally.
Did you know that the fashion industry is one of the biggest contributors to pollution and waste globally?
By offering a unique insight into how things are made and the work that goes into every creation, we aim to challenge ones perception of value, and raise awareness about the negative effects of fast fashion on our environment and communities.
Join us in addressing these challenges and celebrating the beauty of slow, sustainable fashion at Melbourne Made.
We will be presenting a fashion runway, different to what you may have seen before. Emerging from the studio doors of the Creation Collective design studio, this event will showcase a diverse lineup of designers at various stages of their careers. From fresh design graduates to seasoned creative practitioners and industry icons, the runway will feature an array of talent.
Departing from traditional fashion runway presentations, this event will illuminate the evolution of outfits through three distinct developmental stages. By juxtaposing the design process with the final outcomes, viewers will gain valuable insights into the designers' methods, decision-making, and the meticulous work and refinement that culminate in a finished garment.
